Green Witch Activism
Hello Friends,
I often visit a beloved old Oak tree whom I consider a dear and wise friend. At Summer Solstice this more-than-human elder shared a message with me:
“Magic + Community = Strength.”
We need to focus on our physical health, of course, but also on growing Strong in Spirit, in our core, to be able to feel authentically alive, and attuned to our joy, pleasure and purpose. Then we’ll be better able to not only thrive personally, but to join together to give our best to this beautiful world in the challenging, evolutionary times we are in.
We need to act in both the inner and outer worlds, always rooting in ourselves, in our own personal work. Where are we disconnected? Where do we personally need to deepen our sense of compassion and connection?
Is there a plant that can help you? The answer is always “Yes” there is! You can start with Dandelion! She grows everywhere and radiates light. You can drink dry roasted or raw root tea, eat the greens, and/or massage dandelion flower oil into aching muscles. This plant helps us to flow (lymph, urine, menses) and the flower oil helps release trapped emotions, gently helping them flow out of our bodies.
Spiritual Activism, the Green Witch Way
From the tower we acknowledge
The current and crumbling space
To reconnect the disconnection
And put compassionate connection in its place
From our hearts deepest desires
With support from the Universe
We light the candles of past, present, and future
And invite in a rebirth.

This spell was written by Intuitive Jawn, who attended my virtual Green Witch Activism series with Transcending Roots Apothecary, and was spoken by the ritual’s attendees as the gateway to enter into our magical work in the sacred circle between the worlds.
Using the magic we create in community, we can help bring justice, compassion, & love to the present and future generations. This is not an either/or. It requires a both/and; we proceed with both our imaginations and our actions.
I share the following spell that I wrote, woven of our discussions, concerns, and from the threads of everyone’s input. If it speaks to you I encourage you to incorporate it into your own activism and green workings. We lit our candles and spoke it 3x each night, through the past moon cycle.

May dominator culture Fall
In the name of Interdependence,
Joy, and Justice for All
We Invoke the Truth
Of Connection Sublime
May no one be Rejected
May all Life be Respected
Out of this Chaos
We midwife the New
A World Safe and Healthy
For the Many, not just the few
We Stand in the Center of Now
Oh Great Mystery, we humbly Bow
May we Rise in Love,
Helped from Below and Above
May the Greatest Good of all be served.

We need it all.
